"Bush is a Book Lover" was alluded to in "Out with the Old, in with the New" when discussing the media's depiction of President Bush as dumb, stupid etc.
I have added two others that were also thought provoking. Yes, I am a huge Karl Rove fan and all three were written by him for the Wall Street Journal.

What is Political Foodie?

I began cooking when I was about eight; well experimenting is more like it. My first creative recipe was “Stuffed Vienna Sausages”. I still have the original recipe written in my young hand stored in my recipe box if anyone is interested. My mom was and is an excellent cook. We didn’t have much in those days, but I grew up eating healthy because of those lean times. My dad is still alive even after eating all those experiments; we just call him ol’ iron belly. My first taste of politics at the age of ten was a bitter one. My best friend who lived up the street told me she could no longer play with me because of who my parents were voting for. I didn’t even know who my parents were voting for nor did I care. After two weeks we were back playing again. As a junior in high school I caught the political bug and buzz while helping on a governors race. The thrill of victory, what a high. Since that time I have volunteered in many campaigns and have run a few because of my belief of having good men and women in office. I have entered several cooking contests, going to the National Beef-Cook-Off four times and finally winning in 1993. I was one of 50 finalists at the National Chicken Cook-Off and Paul Newman recipe contest. My honors thesis was “What is Cooking in the Minds and Kitchens of Nevada Politicians- A Creative Investigation Into Nevada’s Political Appetite. I am indeed a political foodie.
